Meet a Moody
Hi there, I’m Mary M. Moody.
Welcome to my portfolio—come on in and get cozy. This is a collection of the work I’ve created in my short (but growing!) time as a designer, with plenty more on the way!
I love long walks anywhere but the beach, crafting things with my cats, traveling, and creating things that make me and others smile.
The story of how I got here isn’t exactly traditional. I left college at age 19 in 2012 and spent seven years working in the theme parks of Florida before moving to the beautiful state of Tennessee in 2018. I stumbled into a career in design when a temporary receptionist job led to a role as an e-Learning content developer. After a few years of teaching myself design, I decided to return to school to pursue a degree in Visual Communications with a focus in Graphic Design at Nashville State, taking just two classes at a time while working full-time.
School has challenged me daily to break out of the corporate design mindset I had grown familiar with and to create far beyond what I ever thought I was capable of.
Set to graduate in 2027, I’ve realized that it’s never too late to follow the path you’re meant to take. It might be a slow journey, but it’s mine, and I get to decide the pace.
