This project was inspired by the idea of creating a personal motto, or a set of words to live by as a designer. Coming into the field without a prior background in design, this piece reflects my thought process and how I see the design world. It also represents how I approach both design and my projects as a whole. My motto, “Design is Alien,” captures that perspective. I also just love aliens and SIFI.
The challenge was to express what I believe in visually while letting my personality come through in the work. We created a series of posters digitally and then printed them using a Risograph printer. This process gave me the space to explore color, composition, and typography in a hands-on, tactile way while building a body of work that reflects my design philosophy.
